Sunny day at Cala Cipolla

Oil on linen, 63×49 cm

Painting on my beloved island Sardinia, breathing in the salty sea air, is what I like to do most of all.
This is my very first seascape, made while standing between the rounded rocks of one of my favourite beaches, Cala Cipolla. I was excited to try to capture the beautiful violet hues in the water and shadows, which was tricky, since the sun kept turning and caused the shadows to transform constantly.
