Buzzing between the drumsticks

Oil on panel, 43×90 cm

The abundance of colours in my small garden is a big source of inspiration. Even in cloudy weather I can’t help feeling the urge of grabbing my brushes and trying to capture the beauty of my sensitive flowers.
Here’s a playful pattern of alliums and their many buzzing visitors painted en plein air on a cloudy afternoon.
